This research project will include detailed desktop studies and full-scale physical modeling including comprehensive analysis of research results.
The project will also involve the construction of a full-scale testing model on which to undertake the physical modelling procedures.
The general objectives of the research study will be to provide evidence and a rationale for significantly increasing the current AS/NZS 3500.3 design limitations of:
CURRENT LIMITATIONS
BOX GUTTER FLOW RATES
DOWN PIPE FLOW RATES
SUMPS & OVERFLOW DEVICE FLOW RATES
DOWNPIPE SIZING DIAMETERS
The overflow configurations are considered to be restrictive and do not reflect industry practice. It is envisaged that the initial study will be undertaken across the 2015 and 2016 calendar years.
OUR AIM
The AHSCA aims to achieve an increase of:
BOX GUTTER FLOW RATES
DOWN PIPE FLOW RATES
SUMPS & OVERFLOW DEVICE FLOW RATES
DOWNPIPE SIZING DIAMETERS
